Surviving 2021 - What Parents Need to Remember

2 minute read

😩 2020....I don't even know what to say. A year of changes, slowing down and struggle (if I’m being honest). We lost our jobs, created new ones, became business owners, and spent ALOT of time together. Surviving 2020 wouldn't have happened without God, our family, and our friends.

For us, most of 2020 was a roller coaster.

Through the lockdown, our household has been full of love, 😤 arguments, laughter and tears.

But every argument, hurt feeling and moment of frustration was a learning and bonding experience that can't be replaced.

Some days we were so exhausted, we would leave our house a mess, because what was the point of cleaning if the chaos was just going to continue?

It's been like the movie Groundhog's Day, never feeling like an end is in sight, always feeling like we are in survival mode.

But we have all grown closer together, and seen new sides of one another.

We've seen one another at our best, and our worst and found ways to ❤️ love through it allkids surviving 2020 as best friendsLooking back ⏳, we choose to remember the good.

Kids have become best little buddies, we had dinner together almost every night and we have made great strides with our kids medical needs.

Our family is healthy, and (most importantly) our family unit has grown closer together, further cementing our forever bond.surviving 2020 kids playing in leavesWe know all of you might not be religious, but for us, God has been faithful. This year, we've clung to this verse:

🙏“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

It is so important to remember the good amidst the chaos. It's easy to be blindsided by the daily struggle of surviving. Find the good in 2020, build from there, and make 2021 your best year, despite any outside circumstances.

We hope you have an incredible 2021, and never forget, we're ALL in this together!
